Safe Spaces Inc. bridges access in gaps to health and wellness services wherever there is need.

 

North Carolina has many food and health deserts - areas where residents lack access to the healthy food and healthcare services needed to live well. As a result, they see higher rates of inescapable poverty, victimization, poor mental and physical health outcomes, and premature death.

 

Safe Spaces is raising money to provide food and basic necessities to homeless and low-income residents of Wake County. As we have provided hand/feet warmers and meals for the homeless in Raleigh this holiday season, we have seen that the need has increased dramatically while local resources are decreasing.

 

Shelters are at capacity. Nonprofits are stretched thin due to a lack of funding.

 

We still have each other. Since we’re all in this together, let’s all help out near and far.
