Safe Spaces Is Looking for Volunteers

Safe Spaces Incorporated is a nonprofit working on trauma-informed systems change and workforce development. We run a career accelerator for women affected by job loss, and we're growing. We have a lot of work to do and not enough hands, so we're looking for people who want to help.

Where we need support:

-
Administrative support: keeping files, schedules, emails and records organized so the team can focus on the work
-
Marketing: helping us tell our story and reach the people who need us
-
Social media: creating and scheduling posts, and keeping our pages active
-
Fundraising and development: helping with donor outreach, campaigns, grant research and thank-you follow-up
-
Board recruitment: helping us identify and approach people who would make strong board members
-
Event planning: helping plan and run our events, from logistics and vendors to the day-of details
-
Accounting: helping with bookkeeping, record-keeping and financial reporting
You don't need to have volunteered for a nonprofit before. If you have a skill from one of these areas and a few hours to give, we can find a place for you.

Time commitment

Flexible and most opportunities are fully remote (except on-site event support)

What you'll get

A chance to do meaningful work, build experience, and be part of something that helps women get back to work. We're happy to provide a letter of recommendation or confirm your volunteer hours.
